Today I am going to teach you how you can explain to someone how to make tea in Malayalam. This may sound silly. But I am sure you are going to learn something new today. For example, you will definitely learn some new vocabulary and then the usage of words.

How to make tea 

Chaaya undaakkan aavasyamaaya samagrikal ivayokke aanu.
These are the thing you needed to make tea.

Undaakkaan- to make

Avasyamaaya- necessary

Samagrikal- Ingredients

Ivayokke aanu- These are the


  • Paal - Milk
  • Theyila- Tea leaves
  • Panchasaara- Sugar
  • Vellam- Water
  • Aduppu- Stove
  • Paathram- Vessel
Njaan ivide randu perkku avasyam aayittulla chaaya aanu undaakkan pokunnath.
Here I am going to make tea for two people.

Ivide-here

Perkku- Person


Adyamaayi oru chaaya paathram edukkuka.
Firstly take a teapot.

Adyamaayi-Firstly

Oru-One

Chaaya paathram- Teapot

Edukkuka- Take


Athilekku oru glass vellavum oru glass paalum ozhikkuka.
In that, add one glass of water and one glass of milk.

Athilekku- In that

Ozhikkuka- pour

Vellavum- water and( Vellam+um=vellavum)

Paalum- And milk ( Paal+um=palum) 

um=and


Ennittu aduppilekku, thilakkan vekkuka.
Then keep this on the stove for boiling.

Ennittu- Then

Aduppilekku- On the stove

Thilakkaan- To boil

Vekkuka- Keep


Thilakkunnathinu thottu munp, athilekku theyilayum panchasaarayum cherth ilakkuka.
Just before boiling, add tea leaves and sugar then stir. 

Thottu munp- Just before

Chethu-Add

Ilakkuka- stir


Aduppu anakkuka.
Turn off the stove.

Chaaya thayyaar.
Tea is ready.
